There's nothing really wrong with Alero; they simply don't make particularly good food. The salsa is bland, as is everything I've sampled there. Nothing is ever offensively bad, but the food tastes only a step away from Chipotle. Dives in Mount Pleasant offer much better Mexican food at a fraction of the cost.
